2021 Grants For Artists' Progress Award!

What an amazing honor to be a recipient of Artist Trust's 2021 Grants for Artists’ Progress (GAP), alongside such talented artists.

When I quit my job at Hulu to focus on comedy full-time, I know how hard the road for comedy is, and how slim the chance is to "make it". But I told myself, if I can just make one immigrant out there feel authentically represented while bringing joy to the world, that's enough purpose for me. But it's easy to have self-doubt. This grant is tremendous validation for my hard work. Maybe someone out there will see if an immigrant who had to learn the language and culture as an adult can do standup comedy, they can chase their dreams too.
